Come explore your creativity!
Each week of
our
summer camp series
offers a new adventure.
The focus is on FUN while learning something new. Join
us for one camp, or several, and get ready to create your own
personal masterpiece!
Students will dive into the arts and
have plenty of opportunities to explore their personal
interests through their work. Each project centers on a
specific medium or technique, introduces facts about master
artists and allows the student flexibility in structure and
subject matter. Students will receive 1:1 guidance and
direction from the instructors and the degree of difficulty
will be adjusted to each student’s level of ability.

Week 4: Color
July 23rd
- 27th
This camp is all about how we see and interpret color.
Students will learn the theory of color while creating
spectacular works of art in acrylics, watercolor,
colored pencil, pastels and faux stained glass.
Their favorite piece will then be matted and framed.

Week 5:
Textures
July 30th - August 3rd
Students will explore the element of texture through
several interesting artistic mediums. Projects
include textured tile paintings, found object
illustrations, fresco painting, acrylics with gel
additives and beautiful mosaic tile work.

Week 6:
Printmaking & Book Design
August 6th
- 10th
Students will experiment with a variety of
age-appropriate, printmaking techniques. Projects
range from vegetables cuts, relief printing, monotype
and linoleum block printing. Pulling in lessons in
general book design and binding techniques, each student
will take home a very special memory book.

Week 7:
Painting
August 13th
- 17th
Students will s tudy renowned painters and
use their works as a basis for their own exploration of
different styles and techniques. They'll focus on
subject matter, use of color, application of paint and
style. Students will create a beautiful
mixed-media painting on a stretched canvas.

Week 8: Mixed
Media & Collage
August 20th
- 24th
We’ll begin with an overview of basic drawing and painting
principles and incorporate them into collage. Students
will combine drawn elements with personal photographs,
printed graphics, type and found objects to
create intriguing imagery customized to their own
interests on a large stretched canvas.

Week 9:
Sculpture
August 27th
- 31st
Students will be introduced to sculpture as a personal,
creative outlet. They’ll learn the basic principles of
sculpture: form and function, shape and texture, space,
balance and movement while exploring various materials
and techniques. Projects include work in paper mache,
wood, wire, foam block and found objects.
